Thai Canal (aka Kra Canal, Kra Isthmus Canal)

โครงการศึกษาคลองไทย ของคณะกรรมาธิการวิสามัญเพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ของโครงการขุดคอคอดกระ วุฒิสภา
ขณะนี้อยู่ระหว่างรวบรวมข้อมูลที่ทางคณะฯ ศึกษามาร่วม 3 ปี เพื่อสรุปเป็นรายงานให้กับวุฒิสภาต่อไป

FYI, Thai Canal is something like Panama Canal and Suez Canal.

Thailand has a plan for the canal for more than hundred years, but it has never been realized. Location of the canal will be somewhere in Southern Thailand. Original purposed site is acroos the Kra Isthmus. But from the latest study, the new proposed site is to be across Nakhon Si Thammarat and Trang provinces.

When finished, it is much believed that the canal will bring an economic boost to the nearby area, the whole country, and the larger region (may be with an exception to Strait of Malacca area and, obviously, Singapore.).

.. it used to be a movement of "creation", build things up. With faith.

.. currently, argueably, it is more or less a movement to pressure "evil" companies to release their propietary code into a FOSS-compatible license.
(FOSSifying the code can be viewed as a "blessing", turns "evil" code to be a "saint" code immediately, amazingly.)

Any company that don't do opensource will automatically be an evil to some of the FOSS "followers".
(Have you ever call your local food stall guy an evil? He never gives you a recipe along with your Pad Thai or whatever dish.)

I know this is not always the case for the movement leaders and most of the followers. Those guys still continuing create innovative things.
But more and more FOSS followers are doing exactly what I'm saying. Mourning for free software. Sadly as it is, these voices are loud.

‘เหยียบจมูก’ คำคำนี้น่าจะอธิบายการปรากฏชื่อของ ‘ตั้ม-วิศุทธิ์ พรนิมิตร’ ในฐานะนักวาดการ์ตูนคนไทยในประเทศญี่ปุ่น เพราะอย่างที่รู้กันว่าญี่ปุ่นนั้นคือเมืองแห่งการ์ตูน ดังนั้น หากชายหนุ่มจากแดนสยามที่ไม่มีวัฒนธรรมเกี่ยวข้องกับการ์ตูนแต่ประการใด ทว่าสามารถเขียนการ์ตูนให้คนญี่ปุ่นอ่านได้ ฉะนั้น ‘เหยียบจมูก’ จึงดูเหมาะสมอย่างยิ่งสำหรับกรณีนี้

Multiple "Run" profiles

Eclipse has this. NetBeans don't.

Eclipse allows you to choose different run/debug profiles, while NetBeans has only one "Run/Debug Main Project".
Probably this is the feature I missed the most.

I'm running one website on a voluntary basis.

At the first place, it was a meeting point of me and my friends. It was fun. Scripting and chatting. Great time.

Time goes by. The community around the site is getting bigger and bigger.
Many people about to expect me to "take care" of everybody behavior on that site.

I'm not a police.

This is not fun.

Try to see this as a challenge. May be I can come up with a new script. The ideal is a self-organizing forum. Just let the community take care of itself.

Tried many available discussion board scripts on the internet. None met my needs.

But. As I'm not fun with it anymore. Where I can get a movitation to do so.

World's full of complicated things. Difficult decision makings.

ยังอยู่ในประเภท "Untested plugins" อยู่

ตัวในเว็บนั้น เป็นตัวที่ mk เค้าทำ โค้ดข้างในจะต่างกับตัวที่ผมทำ (ใช้ไอคอนของ 'ลองดู' เหมือนกัน)
ก็ไม่รู้ว่าผลลัพธ์มันจะต่างยังไงเหมือนกัน เพราะลองกับ Firefox ยังไงก็ไม่ต่างน่ะ ต้องใช้ตัว Mozilla Suite (Seamonkey) - มันจะไปโผล่ตรง sidebar น่ะ

FYI, Apache Geronimo is a J2EE implementation project of ASF, aims to pass Sun's TCK for J2EE 1.4. The project got the test kit from Sun under 'scholar license'.

Coral is an open source, peer-to-peer content distribution network designed to mirror web content. Coral is designed to use the bandwidth of volunteers to reduce the load on websites and other providers of web content. To use coral, simply add .nyud.net:8090 to the hostname in a URL. So, for, example, http://th.wikipedia.org/wiki/CS becomes http://th.wikipedia.org.nyud.net:8090/wiki/CS. The latter is known as a coralized link.

One of Coral's key goals is to avoid ever creating hot spots that might dissuade volunteers from running the software for fear of load spikes. It achieves this through a novel indexing abstraction called a distributed sloppy hash table (DSHT), and it creates self-organizing clusters of nodes that fetch information from each other to avoid communicating with more distant or heavily-loaded servers.
