“Wieviele starben? Wer kennt die Zahl? An deinen Wunden sieht man die Qual der Namenlosen die hier verbrannt im Hoellenfeuer aus Menschenhand.”
“How many died? Who knows the number? In your wounds one can see the agony of the nameless ones, who burned to death here in a hellfire made by human hand.”
— from a memorial at cemetery Heidefriedhof in Dresden
Not just only sounds of air raids in the past, but also the pose of that time. When you're under that raid, this is of course the natural pose you would do, cup your hands on your ears. This interactive installation in Dresden do its best to gives its audience experience of February 1945.
The two-year graduate programme Interface Cultures provides insight into the artistic/scientific treatment and development of interactive media. In particular, the programme focuses on the development of human-machine, human-human and machine-machine interaction and their application in art, research, design, industry and entertainment.
the programme
The programme investigates and provides training in the following activities: software and hardware design for intuitive and wireless interfaces, multimodal interaction, tangible interfaces, auditory interfaces, ubiquitous computing, mobile art, web-based interaction, social interaction, MR, VR and intelligent environments, interactive games and robotic interfaces. The programme also delivers in-depth knowledge on artistic/scientific theory and publication strategies, allowing graduates to become active developers and researchers of new interface designs.

Designing Interfaces: Patterns for Effective Interaction Design is an intermediate-level book about interface and interaction design, structured as a pattern language. It features real-live examples from desktop applications, web sites, web applications, mobile devices, and everything in between. This site contains excerpts from some of the book's patterns.
The last decade has seen a rapid surge of interest in new sensing and monitoring devices for healthcare and the use of wearable/wireless devices for clinical applications. One key development in this area is implantable in vivo monitoring and intervention devices. Several promising prototypes are emerging for managing patients with debilitating neurological disorders and for monitoring of patients with chronic cardiac diseases. Despite the technological developments of sensing and monitoring devices, issues related to system integration, sensor miniaturization, low-power sensor interface circuitry design, wireless telemetric links and signal processing have still to be investigated. Moreover, issues related to Quality of Service, security, multi-sensory data fusion, and decision support are active research topics.
This book addresses the issues of this rapidly changing field of wireless wearable and implantable sensors and discusses the latest technological developments and clinical applications of body-sensor networks.

Kinda excited, knowing there're Thai people doing these stuffs. He's my (self-claimed) FOAF ! :P
hmm... CMU, PSU, KMUTT, Silpakorn, these universities are really interesting... Well established, but not TOO established.
P.S.
Tried not to make it too rude. I'll introduced myself here as well krub, A'Tenn. I'm Art krub, Pon's friend (and also Note's friend + I graduated from the same school as King', who is now at IT Univ as well), now living/working in Potsdam/Berlin :)
What's your general impression (or lackthereof) of your very personal computer ? Or more generally any information appliance, like PDA, fax, or TV.
Do you feel satisfied with its appearance, functionality, usability, etc .. ? What's your greatest/most frequent disappointments with these "hi-tech" appliances ? Anything annoying with your PC or remote control ? Ever has any feeling like "How to use this ...", "Why should I ...", "Why not ...", "What the heck is that ...", or "If I was the designer ..." ?
