TYPO3 เป็น CMS framework ที่มีความสามารถสูงตัวหนึ่ง เขียนด้วย PHP และเป็นซอฟต์แวร์เสรี (GNU GPL) TYPO3 ได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากในวงการออกแบบเว็บ เพราะใช้ระบบเท็มเพลตที่มีความสามารถสูงและง่ายต่อการปรับแต่ง (บางคนก็บอกว่า flexible เกินจนซับซ้อน, too many levels of abstraction) และใช้งานได้ง่ายผ่าน TypoScript
ที่ผ่านมา ตัว TYPO3 เองไม่ค่อยดังเท่าไหร่ในบ้านเรา อย่างน้อยก็สำหรับกลุ่มคนทำเว็บที่มาจากสายโปรแกรมเมอร์ แต่วันนี้มีชุมขนผู้ใช้แล้วครับ:

FLOW3 จะเป็นตัวขับเคลื่อนหลักของ TYPO3 รุ่นหน้า รุ่น 5.0 โดย FLOW3 นี้ จะไม่ได้เป็นแค่ CMS framework แล้ว แต่จะเป็น application framework กันเลยทีเดียว. Domain-Driven Design, Dependency Injection และ Aspect-Oriented Programming เหล่านี้คือแนวคิดที่ใช้ออกแบบและสร้าง FLOW3

Now things are starting to move in Thailand. We have TYPO3 user groups in Bangkok, Phuket (South) and Chiang Mai (North)
