The Notes has nothing to do with the Arabic Alphabet. These names are given by Guido d'Arezzo (Epistola de ignotu cantu, 1028). He used the following poem (Gregorian Chant) to give the names. Every stich was starting from one tone upper than the previous stich and so the names were given by the first syllabe of every stich.
Utqueant laxis Re sonare fibris Mira gestorum Famuli tuorum Solve polluti Labi ireatum
Later the Ut became Do as honour to god (Dominus). Later was added the ti which later on became si.
