The weekend events include educational workshops for young people, with demonstration of South-East Asian music by the Thai music ensemble Korphai and fusion musicby the band Zizu based in Edinburgh.
The event will be ended by the showing of the newly-launched Thai film The Overture (โหมโรง), which is based on the true story about a master in Thai classical music whoses his music as a mean of resistance against the cultural reformation initiated by the Thai authorities.
After this Korphai will visit the SOAS, University of London and Music Festival 2004 in Edinburgh for their performances and workshops as well.
